ABOUT DISCOVERY
DISCOVERY COLLEGE started as Discovery Detective Academy in 1996. Now Discovery Detective Academy is the Professional Investigation and Security training division of Discovery College.
Discovery's Mission:
Is to train our graduates to be ready to work in the global market of investigations & security - two of the fastest growing industries both nationally & worldwide.
At Discovery, investigations & law remain our passion. That is why that’s all we teach in our comprehensive security & investigations programs and courses.
We by choice do not grant AA or BA degrees as all of our course work is investigations and related topics and we do not want to be burdened with teaching general education classes such as; Math, PE, or English 101 that you can readily take from any community or state college. This way we concentrate on what we do best. Additionally, many of our students already have degrees or plan to complete them while working in the investigations & security industries.
Our PI Masters Course has been approved in part or in whole towards college elective credit for AA – Master degree in the legal fields. Each school nationally has different criteria as to what they may accept. Our course hours have also applied to the required working hours for licensing as an investigation agency.

The Professional Investigator Master Course is the most complete program in investigations and advance security offered to the private sector, and is licensed by Arizona Private Postsecondary Education to grant a Diploma.
It is an all elective program that is broken down into 4 course modules of study.

- Each module is three to five weeks
- Each topic is 1-3 days
- The full program is 413 clock hours
- Just under five months long or 18, 24 hour weeks.
